Day 1: Auckland - Queenstown

Fly to Queenstown where you will be met and transferred to your accommodation. This afternoon is free for optional activities - add an experience. Stay 3 nights in Queenstown.

Day 2: Queenstown - Milford Sound - Queenstown

An early start around the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Lake Te Anau, then into Fiordland National Park. Pass through pristine beech forests and the Homer Tunnel to view the majesty of Mitre Peak and Bowen Falls aboard a cruise on the Sounds. Return to Queenstown this evening.

Day 3: At Queenstown

A free day for optional activities such as; jet-boating, 4x4 adventures, Earnslaw steamer cruise and much more - add an experience.

Day 4: Queenstown - Glaciers

Travel to Cromwell and on through the Southern Lakes district to Haast Pass. Travel north, through dense rain forest broken by rugged coastal vistas, towards the glaciers. Stay 2 nights at Franz Josef or Fox Glacier.

Day 5: At Glaciers

A whole day is available for optional excursions on the Glacier, for bush walks or simply to soak up the beauty of snow-capped mountains contrasting with the deep greens of the native bush - add an experience.

Day 6: Glaciers - Greymouth - Christchurch

Coach north to Greymouth, then board the TranzAlpine train to traverse the Southern Alps to Christchurch. Stay 1 night at a Christchurch Airport hotel.

Day 7: Christchurch - Auckland 

Transfer to airport for your flight to Auckland.
